St. John's CYO is now the Kinderhook Basketball Association
The Kinderhook Basketball Association is a not-for-profit corporation created in order to provide local youth with opportunities to participate in structured community based basketball programs.
The Kinderhook Basketball Association seeks to teach fundamentally sound basketball; instill the desire to maximize individual performance for the good of the team; impart the principles of fair play and firmly implant the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority.
The Kinderhook Basketball Association provides a winter program that participates in the Troy-Catholic Youth Organization League, spring competitive Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball, and a summer recreational program. The organization's ideals are rooted in the value of volunteerism and giving back to one's local community in order to promote the attainment of exceptional athletic skill and the molding of future citizens.
